The information that we collect

You can visit our Sites without providing us with any personally identifiable information. We strongly advise that before sending us your device, that you follow the manufacturer’s procedure for erasing all data from the device. If you do not do this, then we may have the personally identifiable information that is on your device. We will take reasonable steps to erase all of your personally identifiable information stored on your device before we dispose of it or resell it.

Also, if you make an application for a position with Smartphones Plus we may collect the following information from you through our online portal: You are not required to provide any of this personally identifiable information, but if you do not, we may not be able to provide you the requested service, complete your transaction, or process your employment application.

Finally, we may obtain information about you from other sources, such as where your employer supplies your contact details in connection with a service request. If you submit an application for employment with us or accept employment with us, we may obtain information from third parties, including, to the extent permitted by applicable law, recruiters, employment research firms, identity verification services, the references you provide to us, websites and other publicly accessible information on the Internet. We may also receive information you submit to us through third-party websites, including LinkedIn, and other publicly available sources. Where permitted by local law and with your consent, we may request background or credit checks from public authorities or financial institutions to evaluate your eligibility for employment, as well as your medical information if required to evaluate your eligibility for employment benefits.

Personally Identifiable Information

We also collect non-personal data that does not identify you, directly, including “automatically collected data,” “aggregated” or “anonymized” information that we collect to inform us how others use our Sites. Non-personal data includes, (i) device software platform, operating system, IP address, type of Internet browser, and firmware; (ii)mobile phone carrier; (iii) web browsing patterns, including websites visited and time of access; (iv) geographical data such as zip code, area code, and other non-precise location information; and (v) the way in which you use the Site, including frequency and duration of usage. Cookies and Similar Technologies

SMS Mobile Terms Of Service 

The SmartphonesPLUS mobile message service (the “Service”) is operated by SmartphonesPLUS (“SmartphonesPLUS”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes. We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.

Wireless Carriers

The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.

Collection Of Phone Numbers

We collect your phone numbers only when you voluntarily provide them to us, for example, during transactions, inquiries, or when you sign up for our promotional messages. You can opt in to receive these SMS messages either by clicking on the welcome pop-up (which shows to new users) or in the checkout by checking your SMS sign-up and providing your phone number. By consenting to SmartphonesPLUS’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of SmartphonesPLUS through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).

Use Of Phone Numbers For SMS

Your phone numbers are primarily used to provide you with personalized services, updates, and promotional offers. These text messages may relate to our products, services, discounts, or any updates that we think may interest you (order updates, cart reminders, account alerts). We may also provide special discounts or offers through SMS messages. SMS messaging charges may be applied by your carrier. We will only share your phone number with our SMS provider, subject to their privacy policy.  We use Klaviyo to send all SMS communications to users who have opted in. Message Frequency

The number of text messages that you will receive will vary depending on which text messaging programs you sign up for. You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with SmartphonesPLUS. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.

Opting Out Of SMS Messages

If at any time you wish to stop receiving marketing SMS from us, you can opt out by

Employment Applications

We use your personally identifiable information for processing employment applications. We will keep this information for future consideration unless you direct us not to do so. If you accept a position with Smartphones Plus, we will retain this information and may refer back to it during your employment.

Compulsory Disclosure

We may also disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on us; (b) protect and defend our rights or property; or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of any individual.

Smartphones Plus is committed to protecting your personal information. We secure your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure using a variety of security procedures and technology. For example, we secure your personally identifiable information on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal data is transmitted to or from our Site, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. In order to submit an employment application, you must create an account with a user name and password. It is your responsibility to ensure the security of your password and not to reveal this information to others.

Your rights to your information

You may have certain rights with respect to personal information about you that is collected through the Sites or when you contact us. For other users, the rights that apply to you will depend on the laws of your country of residence or, in some instances your state of residence. We would however appreciate the chance to address your concerns, so please feel free to contact us regarding any complaint you may have. Some web browsers may transmit “do-not-track” signals to the Sites with which the user communicates. Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.
